50 Cent was arrested in 1994 when he tried to sell cocaine to an undercover police officer. Three weeks later, police searched the home and found heroin, cocaine and a starter pistol. He was sentenced to three to nine years in prison, but instead he went to a boot camp for six months where he earned a high school equivalency diploma. He was sentenced to two years of probation for three counts of assault in 2005.
