Before Tim Allen became famous as an actor he was arrested for drug trafficking in 1978. He was found with over 650 grams of cocaine and he pled guilty to the charge. He faced life in prison but struck a deal to give up the names of other dealers in order to get a sentence of three to seven years. He served two years and four months. He was also sentenced to a one year probation after a DUI in 1997.
