Lillo Brancato was best known for his role as Matthew Bevilaqua on The Sopranos. In 2005, he was charged with second-degree murder after an off-duty police officer was killed trying to stop a burglary. Lillo Brancato and Steven Armento were the burglars. Lillo Brancato was acquitted of murder, as he did not fire the fatal shot. But he was convicted of first degree attempted burglary and sentenced to 10 years in prison.
